Rossignol Experience 98 (2012)
Tester's Review
The E-98, flagship of Rossignol's new Experience line of all-mountain rippers, was an instant tester favorite. Though wider than most skis and eminently powder-ready, it was easily No. 1 for Hard Snow. Using progressively shorter layers in the layup, Rossi slims the profile at the rockered tip, so it's thinner, more flexible, eager to flex into its sidecut and hook up. Yet there's plenty of power underfoot-wood core, two sheets of metal, sturdy vertical sidewalls-so it'll be right at home on anything except ice. "A great daily driver with a huge sweet spot," said Moffatt.
