Rossignol Experience 98 (2013)
Tester's Review
Skis this wide shouldn't carve the hard stuff with such calm, glued-to-the-snow confidence. But in the Experience 98, which testers agreed is this year's best Rossignol, that's just a fringe benefit. Its natural habitat is Western resort conditions: powder mornings, cruddy afternoons, chalky bumps, and velvet groomers between storms. But the E-98 will also thrive in all but the worst Eastern conditions (stay-home-anyway days)something testers only said about the top two skis in the category. Tip rocker smooths the ride; metal reinforcement gives it high-speed confidence; forward- extended sidecut gobbles up the top of the turn. No. 1 in Hard-Snow Grip, with high marks across the board. "A gorgeous ski; take it anywhere."
PRICE (MSRP): $800.00
