Rossignol Temptation 82 (2014)
The Temptation 82, with its 82-mm waist, is narrower than the top-of-the-line Temptation 88. It's also designed to be a little less edgy, with vertical sidewalls underfoot and softer cap construction toward the tip and tail. It's available either flat or as a system with Rossi's 11-DIN Saphir 110 binding. Rossignol's Temptation collection of women's all-mountain skis splits the difference between the brand's freeride-oriented 7 Series line of wide, soft-snow skis and frontside-oriented Unique line of hard-snow carvers. Waist widths range from 88 mm down to 74 mm, with stouter constructions for expert women at the high end of the line and softer, more economical rides for novice and intermediate women at the low end. All have wood cores reinforced with fiber laminates (no metal). As with the men's Experience line, all feature Rossignol's Auto Turn Rocker, which is a blend of 30 percent tip and tail rocker for shock absorption and soft-snow flotation with 70 percent camber for power and rebound.
