With its 88-mm waist, the expert-level Temptation 88 takes to soft snow and off-piste conditions with generous flotation and a freeride spirit, making it an especially likely candidate for the Western all-mountain skier. But with a deep sidecut, sturdy vertical-sidewall construction and plenty of camber underfoot, it's built to carve enthusiastically on all but the hardest snow, too. It's only sold flat (no binding). Rossignol's Temptation collection of women's all-mountain skis splits the difference between the brand's freeride-oriented 7 Series line of wide, soft-snow skis and frontside-oriented Unique line of hard-snow carvers. Waist widths range from 88 mm down to 74 mm, with stouter constructions for expert women at the high end of the line and softer, more economical rides for novice and intermediate women at the low end. All have wood cores reinforced with fiber laminates (no metal). As with the men's Experience line, all feature Rossignol's Auto Turn Rocker, which is a blend of 30 percent tip and tail rocker for shock absorption and soft-snow flotation with 70 percent camber for power and rebound.
