Salomon Czar (2009)
The Czar might be the most powder-specific ski in the test. It might also be the easiest to ski, despite that ponderous waist. Salomon gives it a good dose of rocker: The tip starts curving upward off the snow 6 cm earlier than a traditional tip, so you can't make it dive in deep snow. It floats and smears like a waterski, but there's surprising precision, too. In a word, it's easy-and loves to make you look good. "Highly maneuverable; never bogs down," said Sabanosh.
