Salomon Lady (2012)
The 85-mm waist of the Lady makes it a likely candidate for everyday, all-conditions, one-ski-quiver application. It's a wood-core, monocoque (structural cap) construction, metal-free for weight and cost savings. Salomon's All-Terrain Rocker combines zero camber with a rockered tip, so the Lady will be buoyant in soft snow and smooth-riding in rough terrain, yet still responsive on the groomed. Extra wide, reinforced edges are built to be extra durable. What's more, they're further reinforced: strong polyethylene fibers are used to secure the two edges to each other across the width of the ski, to make it harder to rip one out.
