Salomon Lord (2009)
Just a touch of rocker sent testers scrambling for every synonym for "easy" they could think of. The Lord isn't a reverse-camber ski (and, mercifully, doesn't feel like one on hardpack). But its tip begins to rise off the snow about 2 cm farther back than a traditional tip. That gives it noticeably better maneuverability in powder and chop. The Lord was just plain easy to ski in deep snow. "Light, quick and nimble, with an ultra forgiving nature," said Preston.

Not For
Carving trenches on hardpack
