Salomon Mission RS 12 (2012)
Tester's Review
The Mission, a category stalwart and one of the new breed of wide boots that rip, is an all-mountain hybrid vehicle. It combines wide-body fit in the lower with close-and-comfy through the throat, then blends in performance-oriented stance angles and stiffness that stands up to bullying. "The first boot I have ever been able to ski straight out of the box without wanting to make any modifications," said Bob Kuehn. Notes: polyurethane upper and lower shell construction blends performance with value, Biovent leather liner combines function with fashion, tool free buckle catch adjustment makes quick work for opening up calf fit, single cuff adjustment provides range for lateral stance mods.
