Salomon Origins Bamboo (2012)
A layer of bamboo laminate gives the flagship ski in the new Origins line its name-and a measure of added liveliness. It's a frontside generalist with a narrow, carve-ready waist. . Salomon's All-Terrain Rocker combines zero camber with a rockered tip, so it will be buoyant in soft snow and smooth-riding in rough terrain, yet still responsive on the groomed. The two-layer monocoque construction caps a full wood core, with two layers of metal and extra dampeners for a smooth, stable, responsive ride on hard snow. The Bamboo is available flat or with a Z10 binding, which has a maximum DIN of 10.
