Salomon Origins Bamboo+Z10 TI (2013)
Tester's Review
TK (Skiing review). Notes: A layer of bamboo laminate gives the highest performing ski in the all-mountain Origins line its name, and its liveliness. With a new deeper sidecut (and narrower waist), it's a frontside generalist that's ready to carve. Salomon's All-Terrain Rocker combines zero camber with a rockered tip to make it buoyant in soft snow and smooth-riding in rough terrain, yet still responsive on the groomed. The "double monocoque" construction is two layers of fiberglass capping a full wood core, which should make it responsive and grippy. A single layer of metal dampens and adds bite for ice. The Bamboo is available flat or with a Z10 binding, which has a maximum DIN of 10.
PRICE (MSRP): $750.00
