Salomon The Rocker (2012)
The fattest ski Salomon offers is a pure powder specialist. As such, it will thrive in the deep, soft snow, but won't be interested, or much fun, in anything else. It's a monocoque, or cap, construction, built on a full wood core, with a single layer of fiber reinforcement spanning edge to edge, designed to give it a playful feel in deep snow, underpinned by the durability and responsiveness of wood. The edges are reinforced tip-to-tail, to make them stronger-feeling and more durable. A flat tail gives the skier reassuring leverage in tight spots. Only sold flat.
