Salomon Shogun 100 (2013)
The Shogun is built to be a versatile ski for all-mountain ripping. It has a full wood core with a light and strong bamboo layer for liveliness, and basalt for a damp and stable feel. An elastomer layer along the edge absorbs shocks for and gives a stronger ski-to-snow feel. Tip rocker should skim the deep, and a semi-twin-tip tail should add a looser, more playful feel. A strong structural cap is draped over a wood core to keep the weight down, which should make this ski feel lively.
