Salomon X-Wing Cyclone (2008)
Salomon’s new Cyclone is a hard-snow cruising specialist that doesn’t punish every mistake. Medium-radius turns are its natural habitat, but it doesn’t mind stretching out into longer arcs at speed, where it’s uncommonly stable and grippy for such a lightweight ski. It’s similar in construction to the Fury (Freeride XL), with Pulse Pad dampening over the edges to smooth the ride. For zingy, high-energy fun, it’s aces. "Has energy and snap, but holds on ice," Sabanosh said.
Best For
Energetic attack on groomers.
Not For
Soft-snow versatility.
PRICE (MSRP): $1250.00
