Scott Reverse (2013)
Playful, creative skiers will love the Reverse. But so will traditional carving geeks. It shows just enough respect for the latter's sacred doctrine to lure them in, but then it quickly insinuates that there's more to skiing than tip-and-rip. Trees, for instance, and bumpstwo areas where its playful spirit took over. It's a snappy, short-turn carver with the versatility to please a wide range of skier types. Notes: For speed lovers and hard-snow skiers, the Reverse features a narrow waist for quickness and positive hard-snow bite, and its wood-core, laminate construction is metal-reinforced for good dampness and stability at GS speeds. The concave shape of the Venturi tip is combined with a small (200 mm) dose of tip rocker to smooth the ride in rough conditions. Scott's Dual Radius design combines a larger radius section in the tip with tighter radius elsewhere to give it a forgiving feel and enhanced versatility of turn shape.
