On certain ski days, one is not necessarily the loneliest number. When you're skiing by yourself, there's no one to wait for. No one to catch up to.No slowing down at the triple fork in the trail to make sure the gang's all there. Whichever way the roll and pitch of the mountain takes you is the right way to go. After all, there's no one to meet up with at the bottom of the lift. When you ski alone, you needn't negotiate. You needn't compromise. There's no quid pro quo. It's quid pro go. Bowl? Cruiser? Steeps?Talk it over with your skis—or simply choose tofollow them. You might just happen across the perfect trinity: you, yourself and snow.
