Check out an interview with Tanner Hall and Jon Olsson.

Aspen, Colo. - Tanner Hall has left the Winter X Games with at least one gold medal around his neck in each of the past four years. On Tuesday night in the Men's Skiing SuperPipe contest he had a chance to keep that streak alive with a superb score on his final run of the night.

Hall put up his usual stellar run, with a 540 and a big 1080 to finish it off, but it wasn't to be. Simon Dumont's high-flying style won out by less than two points to help the 18-year-old from Bethel, Maine capture back-to-back golds in the event.

It was an all-or-nothing night for Dumont, who routinely approached 20 feet of height above the lip of the pipe on his way to a second run score of 92.66 that held up.

"I try to go really big all the time," said Dumont. "I had bigger skis this time which gave me more speed. It really worked out for me. I am really, really happy. I wouldn't have cared if Tanner would have won."

Hall, who has four gold and two silver in his Winter X career, missed out on a four-peat in Slopestyle on Sunday and had to settle for a silver Tuesday. Needless to say, it is a position that he isn't used to in Aspen.

"I just want to thank everyone for coming out to Aspen to check us out," said Hall. "I am really psyched to be on the podium."

Jon Olsson (Are, Sweden) clinched the bronze with his second run score of 87.00 to improve his career Winter X medal count to one gold, one silver and five bronze.

"I'm just happy to be on the podium," said Olsson. "I tend to play it a little safe. I guess when you are 22 years old you are old and scared. These kids just drop into the pipe like it's nothing."
