Copper Mountain, CO (Salomon Press Release)—The Saab/Salomon X Wing Rally is a unique all mountain ski event, challenging you to explore your local resort and ski any and all terrain between base lodge and the highest peak.

Five Saab/Salomon X wing Rally events will take place this winter. Fifty teams of two will explore inbound terrain, seeking out check points in a scavenger hunt type event. Participants accumulate points by finding waypoints, sighting targets, and tracking their vertical. There is no set course or strategy, participants have the freedom to ski and explore on their own terms. Participants will be outfitted with Salomon X Wing All Mountain skis to tackle any terrain, Suunto S6 watches to track vertical, and digital cameras to document targets.

The top three teams from each U.S event will be entered into a lottery to win a trip to Europe to participate in the Saab/Salomon X Wing Rally, the ski experience of a lifetime. Over 300,000 vertical will be skied as teams traverse the Alps in a Saab 93 Aero Combi, skiing 7 resorts in one week.

Participation is limited to 50 teams per event. For an event near you, registration, and more information go to
