What a sight it is to look down from the chairlift and see perfect crescent moon—shaped arcs — the ones we all aspire to make — devouring a swath of corduroy. Most skiers know how to get their skis on edge. Equally important, though, is how and when you release your edges. Timing and finesse are everything. If you use the right body parts and movements to control your edges, you can slice up whatever conditions you encounter.

Whether you're working through an intermediate plateau, training to improve your NASTAR times, or trying to master all-mountain conditions, we'll show you how and when to engage — and release — your edges with these pdfs:

  • To Improve Your NASTAR Times
  • For the All-Mountain Skier
