Nordica Bindings 2002

Nordica Bindings 2002

Entering its second year in bindings, Nordica has assembled two models focused on simple function. They present a rather stripped-down selection of features (for example, the toepiece offers only lateral release) with a premium on light weight and retention. The bindings are designed to function as part of a ski, boot, and binding system: Nordica skis have a dampening material in the mounting area, so the company's lifters do not need a dampener of their own.

PRO/BRO: "Nordica provides a straightforward binding, the way it should be." --Michael Rogan, PSIA Alpine Demo Team

N2 (DIN 3-10) $199
Both the N2 and the N2 S (DIN 4-12) offer the same release and retention features, and both ride on an 18-mm free-flexing lift plate. For hucksters who want the higher DIN and beefier plastic construction of the N2 S, the tariff is an extra $50.
