Stockli Stormrider LXL (2012)
Tester's Review
Even Stockli’s catalog is well-made. Known for its commitment to quality (each ski is handcrafted) and its racelike constructions (cap is not an option), the Swiss brand is back after a 10-year hiatus from our test. The LXL excelled in both Stability (no. 2) and Hard-Snow Grip (no. 2) and was praised for being one of the more serious skis in the test. So if it’s hand-holding you want, look elsewhere. “Glued to the snow, but gives such a cushiony ride that it feels like maglev,” said Moscarella.
PRICE (MSRP): $1279.00
