Tecnica Diablo Race Pro 130 (2006)
Having perfected its race boot, Tecnica used it as a platform on which to construct a new collection of commercial offerings. On the outside, the Race Pro 130 is the same boot as the Race R, but its interior cavity is a few millimeters roomier in the most critical fit zones. That, along with a slightly thicker liner, gives it a more enjoyable feel and makes it less likely to require bootfitting heroics. Otherwise, it's a faithful copy of the race boot-same stance, same hardware-just much better suited to freeskiing (and available in 110 and 90 versions, for those who want the close fit in a softer flex). "It skis with the power and control of a race boot and isn't afraid to go fast," says Speedy.
