Tecnica Diablo Race Pro 130 (2007)

Tecnica Diablo Race Pro 130 (2007)

Pro The Race Pro 130 is another just-the-facts-ma'am boot model. There's nothing bling about it, though it does have worthwhile features like adjustable flex (with the removal of two spine studs), a rear spoiler to customize forward lean and rugged buckles, judiciously positioned to wrap the foot well. Our race-ready women were especially impressed. Reigle, MacConnell and Laundon all graded it perfect for Lateral Response and said they felt the boot held plenty in reserve when they rocketed through turns and loaded the tails of their skis. The 130 has a unique stance, with aggressive forward lean and low ramp angle that many of our testers distinctly noticed. "It is a 'ski' boot, not a 'stand' boot," said Hoffmann. "They're uncomfortable at rest, but in motion, just tip and rip." Con Stance will require getting used to for some. Top Scores Lateral Response 4.0, Rear Support 3.9, Closure System 3.8
