Our testers may have loved these skis, but when they came tearing over the knoll on Deer Valley’s steeps, they certainly weren’t skidding. You need to step on the Estrella hard. Once you do, hang on: A stiff tail locks you in for the ride. At slow speeds, it skitters and makes you decide between sliding or carving. Better suited for experts, yes, but one thing’s for sure: It’ll never reinforce a bad habit. Click in and improve. Or else. “Punishing for the category, but they can carve,” said Livran.
