Volkl Nanuq (2013)
Each ski in Volkl's touring collection features a multi-layer wood core designed to be lighter than alpine models of similar dimensions. Dense ash is used for screw retention and stiffness in the binding area, while poplar is used elsewhere to allow for flex. The same skin system is also used across the collection. It consists of a skin precut to each specific model that attaches via a hole at the ski's tip. The Volkl Nanuq comes in the versatile waist width of 97mm and is designed to float in powder yet provide stability and grip on firm snow.
