Volkl Tierra + Attiva E Motion 11.0 TC (2012)
Tester's Review
This is a ski that Darwin would appreciate: It weeds out the weaklings. Even if you don't understand "extended double-grip core"- a super-thick sidewall that channels all your power right to its edge-you can still get the idea: The Tierra slices through ice and slavers for speed. It's always there for you, begging to be stomped on harder. But when it comes to playfulness, versatility or forgiveness, forget about it. "A carve-oriented ski that doesn't like to step out of that envelope," said Moscarella.
