Volkl Tigershark 11 Power Switch (2010)
The 11 is now the flagship of the Sharks. The wider 12 is gone, but if what you want is high-speed performance on corduroy, it’s no loss. The 11 still features Völkl’s Power Switch, which enables you to stiffen or soften the flex. The effect is tangible, though Switch-less Tigershark 10 is about $300 less and just as fun. Tops in its category for stability and hard-snow grip, it may be the most demanding—and rewarding—ski we tested. “NASA doesn’t make rockets this powerful,” said Hogen.
PRICE (MSRP): $1525.00
