Volkl Tigershark 12-foot Power Switch (2008)
Völkl’s new Power Switch mechanism allows the skier to stiffen or soften the ski as conditions or mood warrant. The soft position is a demonstrably more relaxed ride (No. 1 for Forgiveness). But testers were content to put it on "hard" and leave it there. The 12-Foot is a great marriage of edge-grip, stability and width: Ski it like a race ski and never worry about boot-out. "Light enough to be fun, but heavy enough for speed," said Lewis.
