SOELDEN, Austria (AP) - French snowboarder Mathieu Bozzetto won a World Cup parallel slalom event Wednesday, a day after he captured the parallel giant slalom.
The women's competition was won by Ursula Bruhin of Switzerland.
Bozzetto defeated Olympic parallel giant slalom champion Phillip Schoch of Switzerland for his 23rd victory on the tour.
Austria's Harald Walder defeated countryman Felix Stadler, who finished second Tuesday, for third place.
Bruhin, the reigning parallel giant slalom world champion, defeated Nicolien Sauerbreij of the Netherlands. Bruhin was third Tuesday.
Following a race in the first run Wednesday when both riders recorded the same time, Bruhin overcame problems at the start of the second leg to win by 0.43 seconds.
Claudia Riegler of Austria was third and Americans Stacia Hookom and Rosey Fletcher were sixth and seventh.
Soelden was the second stage of the World Cup season. The next races are in Tandadalen, Sweden, on Dec. 5-7.
