The heel of my Xentrix 614 cracked, which caused the unintended release of the ski. This was in powder snow while attempting to take a routine turn. No jumping or shock was involved. I had to finish the back bowls on one ski and wasted a couple hours of my annual ski outing. Other models of Xentrix are under voluntary recall for this exact reason, but because this particular model is not under volountary recall, Atomic will not do anything about it and I find myself having to purchase a new set of bindings. Atomic makes excellent products, they are normally the standard in racing gear. I do not know why they do not wish to stand behind this particular product. Because of that, I will not purchase Atomic bindings as a replacement.
