K2 Extreme Alpine Ski

20% off!

Price: $374.96

Recent modifications like triaxial-braided, torsion box construction mean this wood-cored plank will perform consistently in variable conditions, from East Coast ice rinks to Sierra slop and most everywhere in between. And much like a neon one-piece or a 3-foot-tall mohawk would, the Extreme's graphic radness allows unabashed exploitation of the old school trick catalog…although its directional twintip design will work fine for modern takeoffs and landings as well.

Live and ski n Aspen Colorado - K2 Extremes 179s
This is the best bump ski I have ever had :)
The Good
- even flex pressure (on edge) from tip to tail (at all speeds)
This is feature I like best (weight 185 kbs - really bend with very
good rebound (wood core with fiber overlay)
- park ski design provides very solid tails - can really stress and then
pop (nice for tight, and/or steep bumps, and showing off under lifts)
- very! fast side to side (something called triaxial braiding
At speed (steeps or fast bumps) will find and hold new edge when
you really need it (best ever at this)
- build park ski tough (torsion STIFF, anti delam rivets, oversize
edges.
Not so Good
- would like slightly wider under foot (185 now - would like 190 min)
- on top of (not in) the snow - not the best for heavy chop or powder.
But any condition on top of snow (especially wind blown, crusty
hard pack. TOUGH, stable (nice) on back sides of crusty bumps.
