Park City, UT Feb. 2--The International Ski Federation (FIS) andUSSA have announced that the women's World Cup races which wereoriginally scheduled to be held at Snowbasin and Deer Valley, Utah havebeen rescheduled and will be run in Sta. Caterina, Italy.
Three races to be held in January, which included a super G and downhillat Snowbasin and a slalom at Deer Valley, had to be postponed due towarm weather in the area and inadequate snow conditions at Snowbasin.
The new schedule consists of downhill training on Feb. 8-9, a super G onFeb. 10, a downhill on Feb. 11 and a slalom on Feb. 12.
Sta. Caterina is near Bormio, Italy, the site of this year's World Cupfinals in March.
On a related note, the men's super G which was postponed due toinclement weather in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany on Jan. 30 has beenrescheduled for Mar. 5 in Kvitfjell, Norway. Also, the FIS is stillworking on rescheduling women's GS and SL races lost to rain and poorconditions in Zwiesel, Germany this past weekend.
