Head to Whistler, B.C., for 10 days of high-altitude partying at the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival. A combination of freestyle skiing competitions, a live concert series, art exhibits and other on-snow distractions drive thousands to Whistler each spring. Running from April 13 to April 28, the festival boasts film screenings, the World Skiing Invitational, and the motto “Party in April. Temps are rising as summer approaches but many skiers aren’t ready to store their boards yet. Well, you don’t have to. Winter is playing an encore, pounding the western states with fresh powder while several resorts in the Rockies and out East are still powering lifts. Many resorts close this Sunday, April 15 but some are offering discounted or even free lift tickets on their last day.
