First Snow at Fernie Alpine Resort

Fresh snowfall on Oct. 7, 2008, marked the beginning of Fernie's winter season as the resort gears up for skiers.

CALGARY, AB – October 7, 2008 – Ski season is on its way, with snow falling at Fernie Alpine Resort on Tuesday. With a whopping 1,118cm (37 feet) of snow last season, we can hardly wait to get going this year!

Getting to Fernie’s Legendary Powder is now even easier. Fernie Alpine Resort is pleased to announce new direct service on Delta Airlines between Salt Lake City, UT and the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, BC starting on December 17, 2008.
