Our expert ski testers can get down the hill on anything. This year, we wanted to find out what our citizen testers liked.

To diversify our ski test team this year, we brought in guest testers. Olympians they were not, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a bunch more passionate about the sport. They followed the same protocol as the pros, filling out test cards and ranking their favorites, but we kept the scores separate for consistency’s sake.

Watch this site for results from the guest test, and for more information about future guest tester programs.

Reflections of a Guest Tester

Reflections of a Guest Tester
Joe Moylan
This year, we invited eight guest testers to our annual all-mountain ski test at Deer Valley, Utah. Here's one man's take.

We woke up on our final morning of testing a little sore and a bit tired. More than 30 of us had spent the last three days skiing the very best K2, Rossignol, Kastle, Fischer, Nordica and many others had to offer. As we made our way to the ski corral, the pains and the fatigue quickly melted away. A storm had raged all night, but now the skies were blue and 11 inches of fresh snow awaited our arrival. I clicked into my first set and loaded the chair. I could hear bombs exploding at nearby Park City as I floated above 1,300 vertical feet of virgin corduroy.
