The townspeople of Killington are mad as hell, and they're not going to take it anymore.
Killington is nothing if not persistent. For the 36th consecutive year, the Vermont giant (212 trails, 33 lifts and 3,150 vertical feet) boasted the longest season in the East.
After ample snow this winter, odds are you'll be able to ski here into June. That's appropriate, since Killington prides itself on being the first Eastern resort to open and the last to close.
Bitter cold in eastern United States; Little relief in dryness for Utah and parts of Colorado; Big snows headed for southern B.C.-Canada/Cascades
