Kildow Earns First World Cup Ski Win


Lindsey Kildow of the United States won her first World Cup race Friday, taking the season's first downhill in 1 minute, 23.44 seconds.

Lalive in Top-5 Again


Caroline Lalive, continuing to rebound from ligament damage and leg injuries late last season, was fourth Wednesday in a World Cup super G. Canadian Genevieve Simard was the surprise winner.

Libby Ludlow (Bellevue, WA), who collected her first World Cup points in giant slalom this winter, took the first-run lead in GS Tuesday and held on for her first U.S. title while Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA) finished second and earned her USA-record fifth medal at the Chevrolet U.S. Alpine Championships.

Lalive 11th, Ludlow 14th as Gerg Wins Super G


Two-time World Cup super G champion Hilde Gerg of Germany collected the 17th World Cup victory of her career Sunday in a super G. Caroline Lalive was top American in 11th place with Libby Ludlow in 14th.

Clark 4th, Lalive 5th in Veyzonnaz Downhill


Austrian Renate Goetschl earned the 30th World Cup victory of her career Saturday, capturing a downhill by nearly a half-second over teammate Michaela Dorfmeister and Germany's Hilde Gerg, who tied for second place. Kirsten Clark was fourth and Caroline Lalive fifth, leading four U.S. skiers into the top 25.
