Mittersill in the Meantime


In the next decade, New Hampshire's Cannon Mountain will absorb and reopen its defunct, brush-covered neighbor, the Mittersill ski area. The $20 million expansion will ultimately include an interconnecting lift, an additional quad, a new base lodge, and another peak's worth of terrain. Until the red tape clears, though, you'll still have to shoulder your skis to track out this White Mountain stash.
