With the Americans still stoked off their exciting, historic victories on the halfpipe, the sport takes a faster turn Thursday with qualifying for the parallel giant slalom.
Gilles Jaquet of France won the qualifying event with a time of 35.69 seconds, while American Chris Klug finished 11th in the one-run event, placing him in the 16-man, head-to-head final to be contested Friday.
Overall Champs include USA, French, Swedes in World Professional Ski and Snowboard Championship Finals
