We don't like to get into politics around the SKI Magazine offices, especially when they involve gender differences in sports. (You may have noticed that -- ahem -- a significant majority of our editorial staff is female.) But it's always struck us as odd that women don't get to ski jump in the Olympics -- it's the only winter sport with such a restriction. Why?
The 2002 Winter Olympics had a false start this morning when weather canceled the first event of the Games. High winds and driving snow postponed the Individual K90 qualifying round in the ski jump until Sunday.
