World Cup leader Michaela Dorfmeister of Austria led both runs Thursday en route to winning the last pre-Olympic giant slalom by more than a second. Kristina Koznick had the second-fastest final run and moved up 10 spots to finish ninth.

Gerg Wins First Downhill, Street Tenth, Clark Eleventh

Hilde Gerg of Germany won the first of back-to-back women's World Cup downhills Friday on the tight Zwoelferkogl course. U.S. skiers Picabo Street and Kristin Clark finished tenth and eleventh respectively.
