Once an Olympian

It’s a lifelong label—whether you want it or not.

The motto of the U.S. Olympians Association, the phrase featured on every issue of The Olympian magazine, is this: “Once an Olympian, Always an Olympian. Never Former; Never Past.” I’m good with that. But being an Olympian isn’t something you dwell on daily.

Masters Racers
Can a lifelong skidder take a crash course in carving, then crush the competition on the masters racing circuit? Of course not. But the suits are cute.

The most ravishing beauty at the Summer Fun Nationals ski race is a 43-year-old looker named Kat, who used to skate in the Ice Capades.

In a close second behind Kat are Jill and Jane, best friends since youth, both resplendent in hot-pink speed suits.
