Kirsten Clark Wins Third US Downhill in a Row

Kirsten Clark Wins Third US Downhill in a Row

Advice
By Doug Sabanosh

Jackson Hole, WY Mar. 24—Kirsten Clark won her third US National downhill championship today in as many years. Starting ninth, Clark sped her way to victory before the sun softened up the coarse.

"The key for me today was to ski clean and attack," Clark said after her win. "I knew I had a great chance to win if I could just do that."

A native of Raymond, ME, Clark is no stranger to fast, hard snow. That could explain why she has dominated the US downhill for the past three years.

"Three must be a charm because I feel great," Clark added.
