Kids Ski Camps Set For MLK Weekend

Bend, OR Jan. 11, 2004 (Press Release)— Kids aged 7-15 will maximize their all-mountain skiing and snowboarding abilities while hanging out with local pros in the three-day Mt. Bachelor Holiday Kids Camp program January 17-19, 2004.

Once registered campers will be grouped by age and ability level. The three-day session is just $225 per child and includes lift tickets, lessons and lunch on all three days. Campers have the same coach and report to the same location each day making planning easy for parents. To register for the Holiday Kids Camps call 541-382-2442, extension 2116. Rental equipment, only $10 per day, can be reserved along with the lesson program.

Working with Mt. Bachelor's professional, experienced coaches, the campers' skiing and riding will progress through team-oriented activities. The final day of each session will include an awards ceremony and coaching from Mt. Bachelor pro skiers and riders. During the Christmas Kids Camps Greg Rubin, Leslee Olson and David Scaffidi worked with campers in the Sunshine Terrain Park.

The program is a benefit both to kids and their parents according to Ski School Director Amy Ohran. "The kids benefit from extended time on the snow with the same coach, she said. "Parents end up spending more time on the snow, too, since they don't have to worry about who is looking after their kids. For more information please visit or call 541-382-2442, ext. 2116.
