TELLURIDE, Colo. March 15, 2004 - Telluride kicks off spring skiing with the best snow in years, (over 83 inches in the month of February) combined with action-packed events, après ski parties, and discounts on lift tickets, lodging, food and drinks.

Resort vacation packages start at $345/person for four nights lodging and three days skiing. Telluride Ski Resort restaurants are offering a host of discounts including That Pizza Place where guests can get a slice of pizza and a 20 ounce imperial pint for $3, daily from 3-6 p.m. Skiers and riders can also satisfy their hearty appetites at Gorrono Ranch, Telluride's mid-mountain restaurant, serving up fish and chips for $5.

"We're gearing up for an incredible spring, said Pete Woods, vicepresident of sales and marketing for the Telluride Ski Resort. "With killer snow, sunny weather and great events, Telluride is the place to be for spring skiing.

The festivities kick off with the annual Ski Patrol vs. Ski and Snowboard School softball game on skis, St. Patrick's Day, March 17. The competition takes place at the base of Lift 7 starting at 5 p.m. Immediately following the softball game, the Elks Club hosts a traditional Saint Patrick's Day party with the sounds of "Tom Richards and Friends, a 2004-2005 ski pass raffle to benefit local Jane Larsen and a traditional St. Patrick's Day feast--corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes and dessert for just $8.

Gear up for an action packed day of events on Saturday, March 20, starting with a Triple Big Air Competition in the Sprite Air Garden Terrain Park. The race begins at 1:30 p.m. The deck at Gorrono is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy food and drink specials and live music by Dexter Groove from 12-3 p.m.

When the lifts close Telluride Ski Resort's ski patrol and ski andsnowboard instructors strut their stuff in the Alpine Adventure FashionShow presented by Perry Ellis and Men's Journal. First turn down the runway in Heritage Plaza begins at 4 p.m. Music, giveaways and more will be available for guests who come to hoot and holler at their favorite model. Festivities continue into the evening with the Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club's 11th Annual Snowball Fundraiser with Live and Silent Auctions from 6-8 p.m. at La Piazza Ristorante located in Mountain Village. Tickets are $50/person and available at tellurideticket.com, at TSSC headquarters or at the door.

On Sunday, March 21 the Telluride Rotary Club launches its first Red Ball Express, a fundraiser to benefit local youth organizations and Rotary projects. Large red fitness balls will be launched down the NASTAR run, with the winner crossing the finish line first. Red balls can be purchased in advance for $5 at the former Café Vienna from 3-5 p.m., March 15-19 and at the Rotary Club's booth in the Mountain Village Plaza, the day of the event. The race begins at 3:45 p.m. on the Nastar course.

The 17th Annual Surf the Rockies kicks off March 29-April 4 with a host of activities to round out the end of the season. "Family Groove Company plays on the deck at Gorrono, March 28 from 12-3 p.m. To celebrate the end of the season, KOTO, Telluride's community radio station, throws the annual Main Street Dance on Friday, April 2 from 3:30-7 p.m. KOTO closes Main Street in front of Telluride's historic courthouse for over three hours of live music with Ralph Dinosaur, beer drinking fun and food by Diggity Dogs. The slopes heat up on Saturday, April 3 with the annual Bikini Slalom and Bacardi Bartender's

Race. From the deck at Gorrono, guests can listen to the sounds of RicoBlues and steal a glimpse of bikini and thong-clad racers. The actionstarts at 12 p.m. on the Butterfly Ski Run. Participants showing theirbeach best can take home various prizes.

March 20 Triple Big Air Competition. Registration 9-11 a.m. at the Alternative Edge located in The Mountain Village Plaza.

March 20 Dexter Grove performs at Gorrono from 12-3 p.m.

March 20 Alpine Adventure Fashion Show (presented by Perry Ellis and Men's Journal) in Heritage Plaza, 4 p.m.
