Backcountry provisions

Created to cater to the demanding lifestyle of those who live in the recreational paradise of the Rocky Mountains, Backcountry Provisions lives up to its promise. The service is stellar with owners and middle school friends Peter Boniface and David Pepin often behind the counter, serving up soups and sandwiches super fast. A transplant from Boston, Mass., Pepin picked up a million tips working in the restaurant industry there, allowing the two friends to put together an impressive list of interesting sandwiches including the Sherpa – roasted eggplant, sweet roasted red peppers, tomato, romaine, and asiago cheese piled onto a roll with their legendary garlic mayo. They offer a student discount for those with their noses buried in a book. In Steamboat, where there is a mediocre sandwich shop on every corner, this place stands out because of their original, fast sandwiches, made with high quality ingredients that the owners select themselves.
