At 10,000 feet, this stunning European-style chalet atop Vail’s Game Creek Bowl (a members-only club by day, open to the public for dinner) gives new meaning to haute cuisine. The Eagle Bahn gondola carries you up the mountain to Eagle’s Nest, where your personal chauffeur will escort you to a cozy, enclosed snowcat for the ride to a four-course dinner. After a warm-up by the fire with a glass of bubbly, you’ll be escorted to a window-side table overlooking the slopes or a private booth. In keeping with the rustic locale, dishes such as braised short ribs and crisp kurobuta pork belly are hearty and warming. Seared branzini paired with fingerling potatoes and Scottish salmon à la Bordelaise are lighter options. For dessert, crème brûlée and milk chocolate panna cotta are appropriately indulgent, and will sustain you during the ride back down.
