Easily Stratton’s most elegant and inspired dining experience, Verde surprises those who aren’t expecting such sophisticated and ambitious culinary creations in Vermont ski country. Chalk it up it up to a young and energetic head chef, Rowan Lechtaler, who clearly seems to be enjoying his work with local provender. The wine the list is deep and smart. The food—house-made ravioli, local quail and rabbit, Maine fluke—unfailingly delicious.
