A New York-style deli with an awe-inspiring sandwich selection.

‘Wonderful resort for families, with a real Western town to boot.’

Ask any local where to go for an authentic deli sandwich worthy of a New Yorker’s approval and they will tell you Winona’s on Lincoln Ave. Their sandwich menu is awe-inspiring. With everything from a classic turkey with provolone to a crab cake sandwich topped with Cajun aioli, everyone is bound to find something they like. The casual atmosphere, great service, and decent prices make this place worthy of a stop on your vacation. Winona’s is conveniently located right on the bus route from the mountain into downtown Steamboat, so stopping in to grab a fresh cinnamon role (they are gigantic!) or moist carrot cake is hard to resist. Even though the wait can be a little long, especially over the weekend, it’s totally worth it. You cannot leave town without trying their Rueben with onion rings followed by a famous peanut butter cookie.
