BRETTON WOODS, NH (News Release April 8, 2003) Easter festivities at Bretton Woods Mountain Resort will be well underway by the time your little brother bites the ears off your chocolate bunny. When T.E. Bunny finishes his rounds, he hides all the best colored eggs on the slopes of New Hampshire's largest ski area for a fun filled skiing family Easter celebration.
Starting at 7 a.m. on April 20, Dwight Merrill of Mountain Christian Ministries will officiate at a nondenominational Easter morning service on the mountain. Skiers and non-skiers alike are welcome to ride the Bethlehem Express high-speed detachable quad chair for the "Sunrise Service" on the deck of the Top o' Quad Restaurant.
At 9 a.m., an Easter Egg Hunt will find skiing and snowboarding children searching the Bretton's Wood alpine ski trail for brightly colored, candy-filled eggs from the Easter Bunny. Andy Bunny (the fuzzy, pink-colored cousin of T.E. Bunny) will be on-hand to help point out some of the more difficult eggs to find. After the hunt, he'll be skiing the entire mountain with the youngsters and young-at-heart. At 11 a.m. the Easter Bonnet Parade and Contest will commence in the Bretton Woods Base Lodge. Prizes will be awarded for the best springtime chapeau.
