Eastern Resorts Mount Snow and Mont-Sainte-Anne Start the Season

Mount Snow, VT, Nov. 15--With snow guns at an Energizer bunny pace, the Eastern resorts of Mount Snow, Vermont, and Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec opened for the season on Saturday November 13.

The snowmakers have been puttering and spraying non-stop since Nov. 4 at Mount Snow, focusing on more advanced terrain. Mount Snow opened two-and-a-half miles of terrain with top-to-bottom skiing. With five runs and two lifts open, Mount Snow had plenty of cruising options for the early-season speed seekers.

"We will keep on making snow with the anticipation of opening more and more runs as soon as we possibly can," said Melissa Gullotti of Mount Snow.

Also on Sat., Mont-Sainte-Anne, in Quebec, Canada, said bon jour to the ski season boasting close to a two-foot base. "It is winter up there," said Suzanne Roy, Communications Coordinator of Mont-Sainte-Anne.

The north side of the mountain is open via Shooting Star to the Northside Express trail, and this week they plan to check off another snow-covered trail, La Paraduese.

Mount Snow is selling early season tickets for $25 adults, $23 young adults, and $19 children and seniors and lift tickets are $25 adults, $21 young adults, $15 children and seniors-Canadian at Mont-Sainte-Anne.
